Ezra 9:9
કારણ, અમે તો ગુલામ છીએ; તેમ છતાં અમારી ગુલામ દશામાં પણ તમે અમને ભૂલી નથી ગયા, અને તમે ઇરાનના રાજાના હૃદયમાં અમારા માટે દયા જગાડી છે અને તેમણે અમને જીવતદાન તો આપ્યું જ છે, ઉપરાંત અમારા દેવના મંદિરનો જીણોર્દ્ધાર કરી ફરી બાંધવાની પરવાનગી આપી છે, અને યહૂદામાં અને યરૂશાલેમમાં અમને દીવાલ આપી છે.

યહૂદીયાઓના વડીલોએ પણ પ્રબોધકો હાગ્ગાય અને ઇદ્દોના પુત્ર ઝખાર્યાના વચનોથી પ્રેરાઇને મંદિરનું બાંધકામ ફરીથી ચાલુ કર્યુ અને તેમનું ઉદેશ્ય પુરું કર્યુ. તેઓએ ઇસ્રાએલના દેવના ફરમાન મુજબ તથા કોરેશ, દાર્યાવેશ અને આર્તાહશાસ્તા અને ઇરાનના રાજાઓના ફરમાન મુજબ બાંધકામને પૂરું કર્યુ.

એ પછી દાર્યાવેશ રાજાએ બાબિલના ભંડારોના કાર્યાલયમાં તપાસ કરવાનો હુકમ કર્યો.

વળી રાજા કોરેશે પણ તેમને યહોવાના મંદિરમાંથી વસ્તુઓ આપી. આ વસ્તુઓ નબૂખાદનેસ્સાર રાજાએ યરૂશાલેમના યહોવાના મંદિરમાંથી લઇ જઇને પોતાના દેવોના મંદિરમાં મૂકી હતી.
Zechariah 4:6
પછી તેણે મને કહ્યું, “યહોવાનો આ સંદેશ ઝરુબ્બાબેલ માટે છે, ‘બળથી કે શકિતથી નહિ પણ મારા તરફથી મળતા આત્માને કારણે તું વિજયવંત થશે.”
