Ezekiel 30:21
“હે મનુષ્યના પુત્ર, મેં મિસરના રાજા ફારુનનો હાથ ભાંગી નાખ્યો છે. કોઇએ એને પાટો બાંધ્યો નથી કે એને ઝોળીમાં નથી મૂક્યો, જેથી તે તરવાર પકડવા જેટલી શકિત ફરીથી મેળવે.”

ત્યાર બાદ હું બાબિલના રાજાના હાથ મજબૂત કરીશ અને તેમાં મારી તરવાર પકડાવીશ. પણ મિસરના રાજાના હાથ હું ભાંગી નાખીશ અને તે પોતાના દુશ્મનો સામે વધ થયેલા માણસની જેમ ચીસો પાડતો રહેશે.
Psalm 37:17
કારણ, દુષ્ટ લોકોના હાથોની શકિતનો નાશ કરવામાં આવશે પણ યહોવા નીતિમાન લોકોની કાળજી લેશે અને તેમને ટેકો આપશે.

દુષ્ટ લોકોના હાથ તમે તોડી નાખો. તેમાંથી એકને પણ છોડશો નહિ અનિષ્ટ કરનારાઓનો દુષ્ટતાથી નાશ કરો જ્યાં સુધી તેમાંનો એક પણ બાકી ન રહે.

પરંતુ હવે બાબિલનું અચાનક પતન થયું છે. તે ભાંગ્યું છે. તેને માટે ચિંતા કરો, તેના ઘા માટે ઔષધી લઇ આવો. કદાચ તે સાજું થાય પણ ખરું.

પગના તળિયાથી માંડીને તે માથા સુધી કોઇ અંગ સાજુ નથી; ફકત ઘા, ઉઝરડા અને દૂઝતા ઘા છે; નથી તમે તમારા ઘા સાફ કર્યા કે નથી પાટા બાંધ્યા, નથી તેના પર તેલ ચોપડવામાં આવ્યું.
