Ezekiel 27:31
તેઓ ભારે શોકમાં પોતાનાં માથાં મૂંડાવશે. તેઓ શણના વસ્ત્રો પહેરશે અને પોતાના હૃદયમાં ભારે દુ:ખ સાથે તારા માટે વિલાપ કરશે.

“તમે તમાંરા દેવ યહોવાનાં સંતાન છો તેથી મૃત મનુષ્યનો શોક પાળવા માંટે તમાંરા પોતાના પર કાપા ન કરવા, વળી દફનક્રિયા માંટે તમાંરા માંથાના આગળના ભાગનું મૂંડન ન કરાવુ.
Leviticus 21:5
“યાજકોએ શોક પાળવા માંટે પોતાના માંથાના વાળ મૂંડાવવા નહિ, તેમજ દાઢીની કિનાર પણ મૂંડાવવી નહિ અને પોતાના શરીર પર કોઈ ઘા પણ પાડવો નહિ.
