મને પવિત્ર આત્મા ઉપાડીને મંદિરના પૂર્વ દરવાજે લઇ ગયો. આ દરવાજે મેં નગરના 25 માણસો જોયાં; મેં તેઓની વચ્ચેં લોકોના સરદાર આઝઝુરના પુત્ર યાઅઝાન્યાને તથા બનાયાના પુત્ર પલાટયાને જોયા.

ત્યાર બાદ સંદર્શનમાં દેવના આત્માએ મને ફરીથી ઉપાડીને બાબિલમાં દેશવટો ભોગવનારાઓ વચ્ચે લાવી મૂક્યો અને ત્યાં સંદર્શન લોપ થયું,

હું આ ચેતવણી આપતો હતો તે દરમ્યાન ત્યાં જ બનાયાનો પુત્ર પલાટયા ઢળી પડીને મરી ગયો, હું ઊંધે મોઢે ભોંય પર પડ્યો અને મેં બૂમ પાડી, “હે યહોવા મારા માલિક, તારે બાકી રહેલા બધા ઇસ્રાએલીઓનો સંપૂર્ણ વિનાશ કરવો છે?”

કરૂબો પાંખો પ્રસારીને જમીનથી અધ્ધર થઇ ગયા અને પૈડાંને પણ તેમની સાથે- સાથે અધ્દર થતાં મેં જોયાં. મંદિરના પૂર્વ દરવાજા આગળ તેઓ થોભ્યા. તેમના ઉપર યહોવાનું ગૌરવ છવાયેલું હતું.

પછી તે મને યહોવાના મંદિરના અંદરના ચોકમાં લઇ આવ્યા. તો ત્યાં મંદિરના પ્રવેશદ્વાર આગળ, મંદિર અને વેદીની વચ્ચે આશરે પચીસ માણસો પવિત્રસ્થાન તરફ પીઠ કરીને અને પૂર્વાભિમુખ થઇને ઊગતા સૂરજની પૂજા કરવા માટે નીચે નમતા હતા.

પછી આત્માએ મને ઉપર ઊંચકી લીધો અને મેં મારી પાછળ પ્રચંડ અવાજ સાંભળ્યો: “યહોવાના ગૌરવને ધન્ય હો.”
