જ્યારે મોર્દખાય રાજા પાસેથી નીકળ્યો ત્યારે તેણે સફેદ અને ભૂરા રંગના વસ્રો માથે મોટો સોનાનો મુગટ અને ઝીણા શણનો જાંબુડી રંગનો ઝભ્ભો પહેર્યા હતાં. આખા સૂસા શહેરે આનંદથી ઉજવણી કરી.

ત્રીજા દિવસે એસ્તેર રાણીનો પોષાક પહેરીને રાજાના ખંડની સામે મહેલની અંદરના પ્રવેશમાં જઇને ઊભી રહી. એ વખતે રાજા રાજમહેલના પ્રવેશદ્વાર આગળ સિંહાસન પર બિરાજેલ હતા.
