Ecclesiastes 2:26
જે લોકો દેવને પ્રસન્ન કરે છે તેઓને તે બુદ્ધિ જ્ઞાન તથા આનંદ આપે છે; પણ પાપીને તે અતિ ભારે પરિશ્રમ આપે છે તેથી તે સંગ્રહ કરે અને ધનવાન બને, અને જેઓ દેવને પ્રસન્ન કરે છે તેઓને માટે તે ધન મૂકીને જાય, અહીં પણ આપણે વ્યર્થ તથા નિરર્થક હવામાં બાચકાં ભરવા જેવું કરીએ છીએ.

King James Version (KJV)
For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.

American Standard Version (ASV)
For to the man that pleaseth him `God' giveth wisdom, and knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that pleaseth God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

દેવ એક જ છે જે આપણને ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુના અંશરૂપ બનાવે છે. દેવ તરફથી ખ્રિસ્ત આપણું શાણપણ બન્યો છે. ખ્રિસ્તના કારણે આપણે દેવે પ્રત્યે ન્યાયી છીએ. ખ્રિસ્તના કારણે પાપમાંથી મુક્તિ મળી છે. ખ્રિસ્તના કારણે જ આપણે પવિત્ર છીએ.
