પછી યહોવાએ મૂસાને કહ્યું, “આ રહ્યો તે પ્રદેશ જે તેમના વંશજોને આપવાનું મેં ઇબ્રાહિમ, ઇસહાક અને યાકૂબને વચન આપ્યું હતું. ‘મેં તને તારી સગી આંખે એ જોવા દીધો છે, પણ તું તેમાં આગળ જઈને પ્રવેશ કરવા નહિ પામે.”‘
