Deuteronomy 27:2
જયારે તમે યર્દન નદી ઓળંગીને તમાંરા દેવ યહોવાએ તમને જે દેશ આપ્યો છે તેમાં પ્રવેશ કરો તે દિવસે તમાંરે ત્યાં મોટા પથ્થરો ઊભા કરીને તેના પર ચૂનાનું પ્લાસ્ટર કરવું.

અને તેના ઉપર નિયમના સર્વ શબ્દો લખી નાખવા, પછી તમે તમાંરા દેવ યહોવા તમને જે ભૂમિ આપી રહ્યાં છે તેમાં સ્થાઇ થઇ શકશો. તમાંરા પિતૃઓના યહોવા દેવે તમને જે વચન આપ્યું હતું તેમ આ ભૂમિમાં દૂધ અને મધની રેલછેલ થશે.

“તમાંરા દેવ યહોવા તમને જે દેશ આપી રહ્યા છે તેમાં તમે પહોંચો અને તેનો કબજો લઈને તેમાં વસવાટ કરો,

ટૂંકમાં જ તમે યર્દન નદી ઓળંગી જશો અને યહોવા તમાંરા દેવ તમને જે ભૂમિ આપી રહ્યા છે તે ધારણ કરશો અને ત્યાં સ્થાયી થશો.

“હે ઇસ્રાએલી પ્રજાજનો સાંભળો! આજે તમે યર્દન નદી ઓળંગીને તમાંરા કરતાં મહાન અને શકિતશાળી પ્રજાઓનો દેશ કબજે કરવાના છો. તેમનાં શહેરો મોટાં છે અને તેમને ગગનચુંબી કોટ છે.

“તમે જે દેશનો કબજો લેવાને જઈ રહ્યા છો, ત્યાં જે આજ્ઞાઓ, કાયદાઓ અને નિયમો પાળવાનું તમને શીખવવા માંટેની આજ્ઞા તમાંરા દેવ યહોવાએ મને કહી હતી તે આ છે.
