Deuteronomy 21:5
પછી લેવીવંશી યાજકોએ આગળ આવવું; કારણ, તમાંરા દેવ યહોવાએ તેમને પોતાની સેવા કરવા માંટે તથા યહોવાના નામે આશીર્વાદ આપવા પસંદ કરેલા છે, તથા બધા જ ઝઘડાઓ તથા માંરામાંરીના બનાવોનો તેમની આજ્ઞા પ્રમાંણે ચુકાદો આપવાનો છે.

“કોઈ વાર કોઈ ખટલાનો ચુકાદો આપવો તમને બહું મુશ્કેલ લાગે-જેમ કે ખૂનનો, મિલકતના હકનો કે માંરામાંરીનો કે તમાંરા શહેરોમાંના કોઇ વિવાદનો જો કોઈ આવો ખટલો તમાંરી સમક્ષ આવે તે બાબત તમાંરે જે જગ્યા તમાંરા દેવ યહોવા પસંદ કરશે ત્યાં લઇ જવી.
Deuteronomy 18:5
કારણ કે યહોવાએ તમાંરા બધા વંશોમાંથી તેના હિતમાં રહી સેવા કરવા લેવીના વંશજોને કાયમને માંટે પસંદ કરેલા છે.
Deuteronomy 19:17
તો એ બંને પક્ષકારોને યહોવાના મંદિરમાં યાજકો અને તે સમયના ન્યાયાધીશો સમક્ષ ન્યાય માંટે ઊભા કરવા.
Malachi 2:7
એટલે માણસો તેમની પાસે ઉપદેશની અપેક્ષા રાખે છે. કારણકે તેમના હોંઠ ઉપર હર સમયે જ્ઞાન હોવું જોઇએ અને તેઓ તો સૈન્યોનો દેવ યહોવાના સંદેશાવાહક છે.”
