Daniel 8:4
મેં એ મેંઢાને પશ્ચિમમાં, ઉત્તરમાં અને દક્ષિણમાં શિંગડા મારતો જોયો. તેની આગળ કોઇ પ્રાણી ટકી શકે એમ નહોતું, અને એના પંજામાંથી કોઇ છોડાવી શકે એમ નહોતું. તે મરજીમાં આવે તેમ કરતો હતો અને અભિમાની બની ગયો હતો.

મેં તેને મેંઢાની પાસે આવતો જોયો. તે મેંઢા પર ક્રોધે ભરાયો હતો. તેણે પૂરા બળથી મેંઢા ઉપર હુમલો કર્યો અને તેના બંને શિંગડાં ભાંગી નાખ્યાં. મેંઢો બિલકુલ લાચાર બની ગયો. બકરાએ તેને નીચે પછાડી દીધો અને તેને પગ તળે કચડી નાખ્યો, કેમકે તેને બકરાથી બચાવનાર કોઇ જ ન હતું.
Micah 5:8
યાકૂબના બચી ગયેલાઓ ઘણી પ્રજાઓમાં વનનાં પશુઓમાં સિંહના જેવા, તથા ઘેટાંનાઁ ટોળામાં સિંહના બચ્ચા જેવા થશે; કે જે તેઓમાં થઇને જાય તો તેમને કચરી નાખે છે, ને તેમને ફાડીને ટુકડા કરે છે, ને છોડાવનાર કોઇ હોતું નથી.

“‘અને હવે હું તને જે કહેવાનો છું તે સત્ય છે. બીજા ત્રણ રાજાઓ ઇરાન પર રાજ કરશે. પછી જે ચોથો રાજા થશે, તે બીજા રાજાઓ કરતાં ઘણો વધારે ધનવાન થશે. રાજકીય ફાયદા માટે પોતાના ધનનો ઉપયોગ કરીને તે ગ્રીસ સામે યુદ્ધ કરવા બધાને ઉશ્કેરશે.
