હે ઇસ્રાએલના લોકો, તમને આખી પ્રજાને યહોવા મિસરમાંથી બહાર લઇ આવ્યા હતા. હવે તમારી વિરૂદ્ધ યહોવાએ જે વચનો કહ્યાં છે તે સાંભળો:

“લોકો શું કહે છે તે તેં સાંભળ્યું છે? ‘યહોવાએ યહૂદિયા તથા ઇસ્રાએલને પસંદ કર્યાર્ અને પછી ફરી તેઓનો ત્યાગ કર્યો! તેઓ હાંસી કરે છે અને કહે છે કે, દેવની પ્રજા તરીકે ઇસ્રાએલની ગણના કરી શકાય તેમ નથી.”
