Acts 11 in Gujarati

1 યહૂદિયાના પ્રેરિતો અને ભાઈઓએ સાંભળ્યું કે બિનયહૂદિઓએ પણ દેવની વાતોનો સ્વીકાર કર્યો છે.

2 પરંતુ જ્યારે પિતર યરૂશાલેમ આવ્યો. કેટલાક યહૂદિ વિશ્વાસીઓએ તેની સાથે દલીલો કરી.

3 તેઓએ કહ્યું, “તું લોકોના જે ઘરમાં ગયો તેઓ યહૂદિઓ નહોતા, અને તેઓએ સુન્નત કરાવી નહોતી! તેં તેઓની સાથે ખાધું પણ ખરું!”

4 પિતરે તેઓને આખી વાત સમજાવી.

5 પિતરે કહ્યું, “હું યાફાના શહેરમાં હતો. જ્યારે હું પ્રાર્થના કરતો હતો, એક દર્શન મારી સામે આવ્યું. મેં દર્શનમાં આકાશમાંથી કંઈક નીચે આવતું જોયું, તે એક મોટી ચાદર જેવું દેખાતું હતું. તે તેના ચાર ખૂણાઓથી જમીન પર નીચે ઉતરતી હતી. તે નીચે આવીને મારી નજીક અટકી ગઈ.

6 મેં તેની અંદર જોયું. મેં પાળેલાં અને જંગલી બંને પ્રકરના પ્રાણીઓ જોયાં. મેં પેટે સરકતાં પ્રાણીઓ અને હવામાં ઊડતાં પક્ષીઓ જોયા.

7 મેં એક વાણી મને એમ કહેતી સાંભળી કે, “ઊભો થા. પિતર, આમાંથી કોઇ પ્રાણીને મારી નાખ અને તે ખા!”

8 “પણ મેં કહ્યું, ‘હું કદાપિ તે નહિ કરું, પ્રભુ! મેં કદાપિ નાપાક કે અશુદ્ધ હોય એવું કંઈ ખાધું નથી.’

9 ‘પરંતુ આકાશમાંના અવાજે ફરીથી કહ્યું, ‘દેવે આ વસ્તુઓ સ્વચ્છ બનાવી છે. તેને નાપાક કહીશ નહિ!’

10 “આ ત્રણ વખત બન્યું. પછી તે આખી વસ્તુ આકાશમાં પાછી લઈ લેવામાં આવી.

11 પછી હું જ્યાં રહેતો હતો ત્યાં તે ઘરમાં તરત જ ત્રણ માણસો આવી પહોંચ્યા. ત્રણ માણસો કૈસરિયા શહેરમાંથી મારી પાસે મોકલવામાં આવ્યા હતા.

12 આત્માએ મને કોઇ પણ જાતની શંકા રાખ્યા વિના તેમની સાથે જવા કહ્યું. આ છ ભાઈઓ જે અહીં હતા તેઓ મારી સાથે આવ્યા. અમે કર્નેલિયસના ઘરે ગયા.

13 કર્નેલિયસે અમને દૂત વિષે કહ્યું. જેને તેના ઘરમાં ઊભેલો જોયો. દૂતે કર્નેલિયસને કહ્યું, “સિમોન પિતરને આવવા માટેનું નિમંત્રણ આપવા માટે કેટલાક માણસોને યાફા મોકલ.

14 તે તને જે વાતો કહેશે તેના વડે તું અને તારા ઘરનાં બંને તારણ પામશો.

15 “મેં બોલવાનો આરંભ કર્યા બાદ તરત જ પવિત્ર આત્મા તેઓના પર ઉતર્યો. જે રીતે શરૂઆતમાં તે (પવિત્ર આત્મા) અમારા પર ઉતર્યો હતો.

16 પછી મેં પ્રભુની વાણીનું સ્મરણ કર્યુ. પ્રભુએ કહ્યું, ‘યોહાને પાણીથી લોકોનું બાપ્તિસ્મા કર્યુ. પણ તું પવિત્ર આત્મામાં બાપ્તિસ્મા પામશે!’

17 દેવે આ લોકોને તે જ ભેટ આપી જે તેણે અમને કે જેઓ પ્રભુ ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તમાં વિશ્વાસ રાખતા હતા, તેમને આપી હતી. તો પછી હું કોણ કે દેવના કામને અટકાવું? ના!”

18 જ્યારે યહૂદિ વિશ્વાસીઓએ આ વાતો સાંભળી, તેઓએ દલીલો કરવાનું બંધ કર્યુ. તેઓએ દેવને મહિમા આપતાં કહ્યું, “તેથી દેવ બિનયહૂદિઓને પસ્તાવો કરવાનું મન આપ્યું છે અને આપણા જેવું જીવન પામવા માટે સંપત્તિ આપે છે.”અંત્યોખમાં સુવાર્તા

19 સ્તેફનના મૃત્યુ પછી થયેલી સતાવણીને લીધે વિશ્વાસીઓ વિખરાઈ ગયા હતા. કેટલાક વિશ્વાસીઓ તે દૂર દૂરના સ્થળે ફિનીકિયા, સૈપ્રસ અને અંત્યોખ ગયા હતા. વિશ્વાસીઓએ સુવાર્તા આ જગ્યાઓએ કહી, પણ તેઓએ તે ફક્ત યહૂદિઓને જ કહી.

20 આ વિશ્વાસીઓમાંના કેટલાક સૈપ્રસ અને કુરેનીના માણસો હતા. જ્યારે આ માણસો અંત્યોખમાં આવ્યા. તેઓએ આ ગ્રીક લોકોને પણ પ્રભુ ઈસુ વિષેની સુવાર્તા કહી.

21 પ્રભુ વિશ્વાસીઓને મદદ કરતો હતો અને એક મોટો લોકોનો સમૂહ પ્રભુમાં માનવા લાગ્યો અને તેને અનુસરવા લાગ્યો.

22 યરૂશાલેમમાં મંડળીએ આ નવા વિશ્વાસીઓ વિષે સાંભળ્યું. તેથી યરૂશાલેમના વિશ્વાસીઓએ બાર્નાબાસને અંત્યોખમાં મોકલ્યો.

23 બાર્નાબાસ એક સારો માણસ હતો. તે પવિત્ર આત્માથી અને પૂર્ણ વિશ્વાસથી ભરપૂર હતો. જ્યારે બાર્નાબાસ અંત્યોખ ગયો. તેણે જોયું કે દેવે આ લોકોને ઘણા આશીર્વાદ આપ્યા છે, આથી બાર્નાબાસ ઘણો પ્રસન્ન થયો. તેણે અંત્યોખમાં બધા વિશ્વાસીઓને પ્રોત્સાહન આપ્યું.

24 તેણે તેઓને કહ્યું, “તમારો વિશ્વાસ કદી ગુમાવો નહિ, હંમેશા તમારા ખરા હ્રદયપૂર્વક પ્રભુની આજ્ઞાઓ માનો,” ઘણા બધા લોકો પ્રભુ ઈસુના શિષ્યો બન્યા.

25 પછી બાર્નાબાસ તાર્સસના શહેરમાં ગયો. તે શાઉલની શોધમાં હતો.

26 જ્યારે તેણે શાઉલને શોધ્યો ત્યારે તે તેને અંત્યોખ લાવ્યો. શાઉલ અને બાર્નાબાસ ત્યાં આખું એક વર્ષ રહ્યા. દરેક વખતે વિશ્વાસીઓનો સમૂહ ભેગો મળતો. શાઉલ અને બાર્નાબાસ તેઓને મળ્યા અને સાથે રહીને ઘણા લોકોને બોધ કર્યો, અંત્યોખના શહેરમાં ઈસુના શિષ્યો સૌ પ્રથમ વાર જ “ખ્રિસ્તી” તરીકે ઓળખાયા.

27 લગભગ તે સમય દરમ્યાન કેટલાક પ્રબોધકો યરૂશાલેમથી અંત્યોખ ગયા.

28 આમાંના એક પ્રબોધકનું નામ આગાબાસ હતું. અંત્યોખમાં આગાબાસ ઊભો થયો અને બોલ્યો. પવિત્ર આત્માની સહાયથી તેણે કહ્યું, “આખા વિશ્વ માટે ઘણો ખરાબ સમય આવી રહ્યો છે. ત્યાં લોકોને ખાવા માટે ખોરાક મળશે નહિ.” (આ સમયે જ્યારે કલોદિયસ બાદશાહ હતો ત્યારે દુકાળ પડ્યો હતો.)

29 વિશ્વાસીઓએ નિર્ણય કર્યો કે તેઓ બધા તેઓના ભાઈઓને તથા બહેનોને જે યહૂદિયામાં રહે છે તેઓને મદદ કરવા પ્રયત્ન કરશે. પ્રત્યેક વિશ્વાસીએ પોતાના સાર્મથ્ય અનુસાર તેઓને મોકલવાની યોજના ઘડી.

30 તેઓએ પૈસા ભેગા કર્યા અને તે બાર્નાબાસને અને શાઉલને આપ્યા. પછી બાર્નાબાસ અને શાઉલે તે (નાણાં) યહૂદિયાના વડીલો પર મોકલ્યા.

1 And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

2 And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,

3 Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

4 But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,

5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

6 Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

7 And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.

8 But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.

9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

10 And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.

11 And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.

12 And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house:

13 And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

22 Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:

30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
