તથા યાજકોના સમૂહમાંના કેટલાક રણશિંગડા લઇને ચાલ્યા; ઝખાર્યા પણ તેમાંનો એક હતો, (ઝખાર્યા યોનાથાનનો પુત્ર હતો, યોનાથાન શમાયાનો પુત્ર, જે માતાન્યાનો પુત્ર હતો તે મીખાયાનો પુત્ર હતો, મીખાયા ઝાક્કૂરનો પુત્ર હતો, અને ઝાક્કૂર આસાફનો પુત્ર હતો.)
