યોઆબનું લશ્કર આવી પહોંચ્યું, અને તેઓએ આબેલ- બેથ-માંઅખાહને ઘેરી લીધું. નગરની દીવાલની સામે કચરાનો ઢગલો ઉભો કર્યો અને નગરની દીવાલને તોડી પૅંડવા માંટે દીવાલમાંથી પથ્થરો તોડવાનું શરું કર્યું.
