શાઉલ તથા યોનાથાન એક બીજાને ચાહતા હતા, ને એક બીજાના સાહચર્યમાં આનંદ માંણતા હતા. જીવનમાં અને મૃત્યુમાં તેઓ કદી વિખૂટા પડયા નહોતા; તેઓ ગરુડ કરતાં વેગવાન અને સિંહો કરતાં બળવાન હતા.
