2 Corinthians 4:11
અમે જીવિત છીએ, પરંતુ ઈસુ માટે હંમેશા અમે મરણનો સામને કરીએ છીએ. અમારી સાથે આમ થયું કે જેથી અમારા ક્ષણભંગુર શરીરમાં ઈસુનું જીવન પ્રતિબિંબિત થાય.

જ્યાં સુધી અમે આ માંડવામાં રહીએ છીએ, કષ્ટ અને ફરિયાદો અમારી સાથે રહેવાની. હું એમ નથી કહેતો કે અમારે આ માંડવો દૂર કરવો છે. પરંતુ અમારે સ્વર્ગીય આવાસનાં વસ્ત્રો પરિધાન કરવાં છે, પછી આ મૃત્યાધીન શરીર, જીવનથી આચ્છાદિત થશે.

જેમ કોઇ જમીન ખેડે અને આજુબાજુ ગંદકી ફેલાવે, તેમ અમારાં હાડકાં કબરના પ્રવેશ આગળ વિખરાયેલાં હતા.
Romans 8:11
જો દેવે ઈસુને મૃત્યુમાંથી ઊઠાડ્યો, અને જો દેવનો આત્મા તમારામાં વસતો હશે, તો તમારા ર્મત્ય શરીરોને પણ તે નવું જીવન આપશે. ખ્રિસ્તને મૃત્યુમાંથી ઊઠાડનાર એક માત્ર દેવ છે. અને એ જ રીતે તમારામાં રહેતો તેનો પવિત્ર આત્મા દ્વારા તમારા નાશવંત શરીરોને જીવન આપશે.
1 Corinthians 15:31
હું તો દરરોજ મૃત્યુ પામું છું. ભાઈઓ તે એટલું જ સાચું છે, કે જેટલું આપણા પ્રભુ એવા ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુમાં તમારા વિષે હું અભિમાન લઉ છું. તે સાચું છે.

આપણને પેલા દુન્યવી માણસ જેવા બનાવ્યા છે. તેથી આપણને પેલા સ્વર્ગીય પુરુંષ જેવા પણ બનાવવામાં આવશે.

આ શરીર કે જેનો નાશ થવાનો છે. તેણે જેનો નાશ ન કરી શકાય તેવાં વસ્ત્રો પરિધાન કરેલાં હોવા જોઈએ. અને આ શરીર જે મૃત્યુ પામે છે તેણે તેને અમરપણું પરિધાન કરેલું હોવું જોઈએ.
