અને બોલ્યો,“હે યહોવા, અમારા પિતૃઓના દેવ, તું સ્વર્ગાધીપતિ છે અને બધી પ્રજાઓના રાજ્યો ઉપર તારી જ આણ પ્રવતેર્ છે. તારું બળ અને સાર્મથ્ય એવું છે કે કોઇ તારી સામે થઇ શકે તેમ નથી.

જ્યારે હિઝિક્યા રાજાએ તે સાંભળ્યું ત્યારે તેણે પોતાનાં કપડાં ફાડી નાખ્યાં, શોક-કંથા ઓઢી લીધી અને પોતે યહોવાના મંદિરમાં ચાલ્યો ગયો.

હિઝિક્યાએ કાસદો પાસેથી કાગળ લઇને વાંચ્યો કે તરત જ તેણે મંદિરમાં જઇને યહોવા સમક્ષ તેને ખુલ્લો મુક્યો.
