ત્યાથી દાઉદ મોઆબના પ્રદેશમાં મિસ્પેહ ગયો. તેણે મોઆબના રાજાને કહ્યું, “યહોવા મને શું કરશે તેની મને ખબર નથી અને તેની મને જાણ થાય ત્યાં સુધી, કૃપા કરીને માંરા માંબાપને તમાંરી સાથે આવીને સુરક્ષા સાથે રહેવા દો.”
