ઇસ્રાએલી સૈનિકોએ જોયું કે તેઓ ભારે સંકટમાં છે અને તેઓનું લશ્કર ભીંસમાં આવી પડયું છે, ત્યારે તેઓ ગભરાઇ ગયા અને ગુફાઓમાં, ઝાડીઓમાં, ખડકોમાં, અને કોતરોમાં તેમજ પાણીની ટાંકીઓમાં સંતાઈ જવા લાગ્યા.
