પોતપોતાનાં દેશનાં શહેરોમાં જે પ્રથમ રહેવા આવ્યા તે ઇસ્રાએલીઓ હતા, યાજકો, લેવીઓ તથા મંદિરમાં કામ કરવાવાળા સેવકો હતા.

| priests, the | הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים | hakkōhănîm | ha-KOH-huh-NEEM |
| Levites, | הַלְוִיִּ֖ם | halwiyyim | hahl-vee-YEEM |
