આથી દાઉદે બઆલ-પરાસીમ આગળ તેમના પર હુમલો કરી તેમને હરાવ્યા. દાઉદે કહ્યું, “જેવી રીતે પાણી ભંગાણ પાડે તેમ દેવે મારા દુશ્મનોમાં ભંગાણ પાડ્યું છે” તેથી તે જગ્યાનું નામ ‘બઆલ-પરાસીમ’ રાખવામાં આવ્યું.
