கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: அவன் பாதாளத்தில் இறங்குற நாளில் புலம்பலை வருவித்தேன்; நான் அவனிமித்தம் ஆழத்தை மூடிப்போட்டு, திரளான தண்ணீர்கள் ஓடாதபடிக்கு அதின் ஆறுகளை அடைத்து, அதினிமித்தம் லீபனோனை இருளடையப்பண்ணினேன்; வெளியின் விருட்சங்களெல்லாம் அவனிமித்தம் பட்டுப்போயின.

எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இவற்றைக் கூறுகிறார்: “அந்த மரம் சீயோலுக்குள் இறங்கும் நாளிலே எல்லோரையும் அதற்காகத் துக்கப்படும்படிச் செய்தேன். லீபனோன் அதற்காகத் துக்கப்பட்டது. வயல்வெளியிலுள்ள எல்லா மரங்களும் அதன் வீழ்ச்சியைக் கேட்டு துக்கமும் அதிர்ச்சியும் அடைந்தன. ஆழ்கடல் தன் தண்ணீர் ஓட்டத்தையும் அதன் ஆறுகளையும் நிறுத்தியது.
