ஆகையால், நீ அவர்களோடே பேசிச்சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரில் தன்னுடைய நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களைத் தன் இருதயத்தின்மேல் நாட்டி, தன் அக்கிரமமாகிய இடறலைத் தன் முகத்துக்கு எதிராக வைத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிற எவனாகிலும் தீர்க்கதரிசியினிடத்தில் வந்தால், கர்த்தராகிய நான் இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாருடைய இருதயத்தில் இருக்கிறதைப் பிடிக்கும்படியாக அப்படிப்பட்டவனுடைய நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களின் திரட்சிக்குத்தக்கதாக உத்தரவு கொடுப்பேன்.

ஆனால் நான் ஒரு பதிலைச் சொல்வேன். நான் அவர்களைத் தண்டிப்பேன்! நீ அவர்களிடம் இவற்றைக் கூறவேண்டும். ‘எனது கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் கூறுகிறார்; எந்த இஸ்ரவேலராவது ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசியிடம் வந்து என்னிடம் ஆலோசனை கேட்டால், அவனுக்கு அத்தீர்க்கதரிசி பதில் சொல்லமாட்டான். அவனது கேள்விக்கு நானே பதில் கூறுவேன். இன்னும் அவனிடம் அந்த அசுத்தமான விக்கிரகங்கள் இருந்தாலும், இன்னும் அவன் அச்சிலைகளை வணங்கி வந்தாலும், இன்னும் அவர்கள் பாவத்தைச் செய்யத் தூண்டும் பொருட்களை வைத்திருந்தாலும் நான் பதில் சொல்வேன். அவனுடைய அசுத்த விக்கிரகங்கள் இன்னும் இருந்தபொழுதும் நான் அவனுடன் பேசுவேன்.
