யோசுவா அமலேக்கையும் அவன் ஜனங்களையும் பட்டயக்கருக்கினாலே முறிய அடித்தான்.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: மனிதகுமாரனே, கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் எல்லா நியமங்களையும் அதின் எல்லா சட்டங்களையும் குறித்து நான் உன்னுடன் சொல்வதையெல்லாம் நீ உன்னுடைய மனதிலே கவனித்து, உன்னுடைய கண்களினாலே பார்த்து, உன்னுடைய காதுகளினாலே கேட்டு, பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தினுடைய எல்லா வாசற்படிகளின் வழியாக ஆலயத்திற்குள் நுழைவதும் அதிலிருந்து புறப்படுவதும் இன்னவிதமென்று நீ ஆலோசித்துப் பார்த்து,

கர்த்தர் என்னிடம் சொன்னார்: “மனுபுத்திரனே, கவனமாகப் பார்! உன் கண்களையும் காதுகளையும் பயன்படுத்து. இவற்றைக் கவனி. நான் உனக்குக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் சகல விதிகளையும் அதன் சகல சட்டங்களையும் பற்றிச் சொல்வதைக் கவனமாகக் கேள். ஆலயத்தின் எல்லா நுழை வாசல்களையும் பரிசுத்த இடத்திலிருந்து வெளியேறும் வாசல்களையும் கவனமாகப் பார்.
