மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் சபையாரைக் கன்மலைக்கு முன்பாக கூடிவரச்செய்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது மோசே அவர்களை நோக்கி: கலகக்காரரே, கேளுங்கள், உங்களுக்கு இந்தக் கன்மலையிலிருந்து நாங்கள் தண்ணீர் புறப்படப்பண்ணுவோமோ என்று சொல்லி,

ராகேல் தான் Jamesக்குப் பிள்ளைகளைப் பெறாததைக்கண்டு, தன் சகோதரியின்மேல் பொறாமைகொண்டு, யாக்கோபை நோக்கி: எனக்குப் பிள்ளை கொடும், இல்லாவிட்டால் நான் சாகிறேன் என்றாள்.
