Nehemiah 13:13
And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute unto their brethren.

அப்பொழுது நான் ஆசாரியனாகிய செலேமியாவையும், வேதபாரகனாகிய சாதோக்கையும், லேவியர்களில் பெதாயாவையும், இவர்களுக்குக் கைத்துணையாக மத்தனியாவின் மகன் சக்கூரின் மகனாகிய ஆனானையும் பொக்கிஷ அறைகளின்மேல் பொருளாளர்களாக வைத்தேன்; அவர்கள் உண்மையுள்ளவர்கள் என்று எண்ணப்பட்டார்கள்; ஆகையால் தங்கள் சகோதரர்களுக்கு ஒதுக்கப்படும் வேலை அவர்களுக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.

நான் சேமிப்பு அறைகளின் பொறுப்பாளர்களாகக் கீழ்க்கண்டவர்களை நியமித்தேன். ஆசாரியனாகிய செலேமியா, வேதபாரகனாகிய சாதோக், லேவியரில் பெதாயா, இவர்களுக்குத் துணையாக மத்தனியாவின் மகனான சக்கூரின் மகன் ஆனான் ஆகியோரை நியமித்தேன். இவர்களை நம்பமுடியும் என்று நான் அறிந்தேன். எனவே அவர்கள் உறவினர்களுக்குப் பங்கிட்டு வழங்குகிற பொறுப்பு அவர்களுடையது.
