But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure you by the living God, that you tell us whether you be the Christ, the Son of God.

இயேசுவோ பேசாமலிருந்தார். அப்பொழுது, பிரதான ஆசாரியன் அவரைப் பார்த்து: நீ தேவனுடைய குமாரனாகிய கிறிஸ்துதானா? அதை எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லும்படி ஜீவனுள்ள தேவன்பேரில் உன்னை ஆணையிட்டுக் கேட்கிறேன் என்றான்.
