Matthew 21:31
Whether of them two did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus says unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

இவ்விருவரில் எவன் தகப்பனுடைய விருப்பத்தின்படி செய்தவன் என்று கேட்டார்; அதற்கு அவர்கள்: மூத்தவன்தான் என்றார்கள். அப்பொழுது, இயேசு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: வரி வசூலிப்பவர்களும் வேசிகளும் உங்களுக்கு முன்னே தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கிறார்கள் என்று, உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

“இரண்டு மகன்களில் யார் தனது தந்தைக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடந்தான்?” என்று இயேசு கேட்டார். யூதத் தலைவர்கள், “மூத்த மகன்” என்று பதில் சொன்னார்கள். அப்போது இயேசு, “நான் உங்களுக்கு உண்மையைச் சொல்லுகிறேன், வரி வசூலிப்பவர்களும், வேசிகளும், தீயவர்கள் என்று நீங்கள் எண்ணுகிறீர்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள் உங்களுக்கு முன்னரே பரலோக இராஜ்யத்திற்குள் நுழைவார்கள்.
