And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

அவரைக்குறித்து இடறலடைந்தார்கள். இயேசு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: தீர்க்கதரிசி ஒருவன் தன் ஊரிலும் தன் வீட்டிலுமேயன்றி வேறெங்கும் அவமதிக்கப்படமாட்டான் என்றார்.

அது மட்டுமின்றி, இயேசுவை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள மக்கள் மறுத்தனர். “மற்றவர்கள் ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசிக்கு மதிப்பு கொடுக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால், அத்தீர்க்கதரிசியின் சொந்த நகரத்து மக்களே அவனுக்கு மதிப்பு கொடுக்க மறுக்கிறார்கள்” என்று இயேசு அம்மக்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்.
