Luke 8:28
When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of God most high? I plead to you, torment me not.

அவன் இயேசுவைக் கண்டபோது கூக்குரலிட்டு, அவருக்கு முன்பாக விழுந்து: இயேசுவே, உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய குமாரனே, எனக்கும் உமக்கும் என்ன? என்னை வேதனைப்படுத்தாதபடிக்கு உம்மை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன் என்று மகா சத்தமாகச் சொன்னான்.

பிசாசு அவனை அடிக்கடி ஆக்கிரமித்தது. அம்மனிதனைச் சிறையில் அடைந்தனர். அவனது கைகளும், கால்களும் சங்கிலிகளால் கட்டப்பட்டன. ஆனால் அம்மனிதன் சங்கிலிகளை அறுத்து விலக்கிவிடுவான். மக்களே இல்லாத இடங்களுக்கு அம்மனிதனை அவனுக்குள் இருந்த பிசாசு இழுத்துச் சென்றது. இயேசு அந்த அசுத்த ஆவிக்கு அம்மனிதனை விட்டு வெளியே வருமாறு கட்டளையிட்டார். அம்மனிதன் இயேசுவுக்கு முன்பாக விழுந்து வணங்கி, உரத்த குரலில், “இயேசுவே, உன்னத தேவனின் குமாரனே! நீர் என்னிடம் எதிர்ப்பார்ப்பதென்ன? தயவுசெய்து என்னைக் கொடுமைப்படுத்தாதிரும்” என்றான்.
