Luke 5:12
And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.

பின்பு அவர் ஒரு பட்டணத்தில் இருக்கும்போது, குஷ்டரோகம் நிறைந்த ஒரு மனிதன் இயேசுவைக் கண்டு, முகங்குப்புறவிழுந்து: ஆண்டவரே, உமக்கு விருப்பமானால், என்னைச் சுகப்படுத்த உம்மால் முடியும் என்று அவரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்.

ஒருமுறை இயேசு மிகவும் நோய்வாய்ப்பட்டிருந்த மனிதன் ஒருவன் வாழ்ந்த ஒரு நகரத்தில் இருந்தார். அந்த மனிதனைத் தொழு நோய் பீடித்திருந்தது. அந்த மனிதன் இயேசுவைப் பார்த்ததும் இயேசுவுக்கு முன்பாக விழுந்து வணங்கி, “ஆண்டவரே, என்னைக் குணப்படுத்துங்கள். உங்களுக்கு விருப்பமிருந்தால் நீங்கள் என்னைக் குணமாக்க முடியும் என்பது எனக்குத் தெரியும்” என்று வேண்டினான்.
