And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.

போர்வீரர்களும் அவனை நோக்கி: நாங்கள் என்னசெய்யவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டார்கள். அதற்கு அவன்: நீங்கள் யாரிடமும் கட்டாயப்படுத்தி பணம் வாங்காமலும், ஒருவன் மேலும் பொய்யாக குற்றஞ்சாட்டாமலும், உங்களுடைய சம்பளமே போதும் என்று இருங்கள் என்றான்.

வீரர்கள் யோவானை நோக்கி, “எங்களைப்பற்றி என்ன? நாங்கள் என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும்?” என்று கேட்டனர். அவர்களுக்கு யோவான், “உங்களுக்குப் பணம் தரும்பொருட்டு மக்களை ஒருபோதும் நிர்ப்பந்தப்படுத்தாதீர்கள். யாரைக்குறித்தும் பொய் சொல்லாதீர்கள். உங்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கும் சம்பளத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருங்கள்” என்று கூறினான்.
