Luke 18:9
And he spoke this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

அன்றியும், தங்களை நீதிமான்களென்று நம்பி, மற்றவர்களை அற்பமாக எண்ணின சிலரைக்குறித்து, அவர் ஒரு உவமையைச் சொன்னார்.

தங்களை மிக நல்லவர்களாக எண்ணிக்கொண்ட சில மனிதர்கள் இருந்தார்கள். பிறரைக் காட்டிலும் அவர்கள் மிக நல்லவர்கள் என்பதைப்போன்று அவர்கள் நடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். அவர்களுக்குப் போதிப்பதற்கு இயேசு இந்த உவமையைப் பயன்படுத்தினார்.
