Luke 18:14
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be brought low; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

அவனல்ல, இவனே நீதிமானாக்கப்பட்டவனாகத் தன் வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிப்போனான் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்; ஏனென்றால், தன்னை உயர்த்துகிறவனெவனும் தாழ்த்தப்படுவான், தன்னைத் தாழ்த்துகிறவன் உயர்த்தப்படுவான் என்றார்.

நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், இந்த மனிதன் பிரார்த்தனை முடிந்து வீட்டுக்குச் செல்கையில், தேவனுக்கு உகந்தவனாகச் சென்றான். ஆனால் பிறரைக் காட்டிலும் நல்லவனாக நினைத்துக்கொண்ட பரிசேயனோ தேவனுக்கு உகந்தவனாக இருக்கவில்லை. தன்னை உயர்ந்தவனாகக் கருதிக்கொள்கிற எவனும் தாழ்த்தப்படுவான். ஆனால் தன்னைத் தாழ்த்திக்கொள்கிற எவனும் உயர்த்தப்படுவான்.”
