Leviticus 10:19
And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD?

அப்பொழுது ஆரோன் மோசேயை நோக்கி: அவர்கள் தங்கள் பாவநிவாரணபலியையும், தங்கள் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் செலுத்தின இன்றுதானே எனக்கு இப்படி சம்பவித்ததே; பாவநிவாரணபலியை இன்று நான் சாப்பிட்டேன் என்றால், அது கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்கு ஏற்றதாக இருக்குமோ என்றான்.

ஆனால் ஆரோன் மோசேயிடம், “இன்றைக்கு அவர்கள் பாவப்பரிகார பலியையும், தகன பலியையும் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்னால் கொண்டு வந்தார்கள். ஆனால் எனக்கு இன்று என்ன ஏற்பட்டதென்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரியும்! பாவப்பரிகார பலிக்குரிய பாகத்தை நான் இன்று உண்டிருந்தால் கர்த்தர் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்திருப்பார் என்று எண்ணுகிறீரா?” என்றான்.
