Judges 8:21
Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise you, and fall upon us: for as the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their camels' necks.

அப்பொழுது சேபாவும் சல்முனாவும்: நீரே எழுந்து எங்களைக் கொல்லும்; மனிதன் எப்படியோ அப்படியே அவன் பெலனும் இருக்கும் என்றார்கள்; கிதியோன் எழுந்து, சேபாவையும் சல்முனாவையும் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவர்கள் ஒட்டகங்களின் கழுத்துகளில் இருந்த பொன்னால் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட பிறை வடிவமான ஆபரணங்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டான்.

அப்போது சேபாவும் சல்முனாவும் கிதியோனை நோக்கி, “நீர் எழுந்து எங்களைக் கொன்றுபோடும். இதை நிறைவேற்றும் வலிமை உம்மிடமே உண்டு” என்றனர். எனவே கிதியோன் எழுந்து சேபாவையும் சல்முனாவையும் கொன்றான். பின்பு அவர்களது ஒட்டகங்களின் கழுத்துக்களிலிருந்தச் சந்திரனைப் போன்ற அலங்காரங்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டான்.
