And the five men that went to spy out the land went up, and came in thither, and took the graven image, and the ephod, and the teraphim, and the molten image: and the priest stood in the entering of the gate with the six hundred men that were appointed with weapons of war.

அந்த 5 ஒற்றர்களும் வீட்டினுள் நுழைந்தனர். போருக்குத் தயாராக நின்ற 600 பேரோடும் பூஜை செய்பவன் கதவிற்கு வெளியே நின்றுக் கொண்டிருந்தான். அந்த ஆட்கள் செதுக்கப்பட்ட சிலை, ஏபோத், வீட்டு விக்கிரகங்கள், வெள்ளி விக்கிரகம் ஆகியவற்றை எடுத்துக் கொண்டனர். லேவியனாகிய பூஜை செய்யும் இளைஞன், “நீங்கள் என்ன செய்கிறீர்கள்?” என்று கேட்டான்.
