ஆனால் சிம்சோன் அவ்விலைமகளோடு நள்ளிரவுவரை மட்டுமே தங்கியிருந்தான். சிம்சோன் நள்ளிரவில் விழித்தெழுந்தான். சிம்சோன் நகரவாயில் கதவுகளை பிடித்து, மதிலிலிருந்து தளர்த்திப் பெயர்த்தெடுத்தான். சிம்சோன் கதவுகளையும், அவற்றின் இரண்டு தூண்களையும், கதவுகளை மூடும் இரும்புத் துண்டுகளையும் சேர்த்துத் தூக்கிக்கொண்டான். சிம்சோன் அதை தோளில் சுமந்துக்கொண்டு, எபிரோன் நகருக்கு அருகிலுள்ள மலையின்மீது ஏறினான்.
