Joshua 4:7
Then all of you shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.

நீங்கள்: கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாக யோர்தானின் தண்ணீர் பிரிந்துபோனதினால் அவைகள் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; யோர்தானைக் கடந்துபோகிறபோது, யோர்தானின் தண்ணீர் பிரிந்துபோனது; ஆகையால் இந்தக் கற்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு என்றென்றைக்கும் நினைவூட்டும் அடையாளம் என்று சொல்லுங்கள் என்றான்.

யோர்தான் நதியின் தண்ணீரைக் கர்த்தர் ஓடாமல் நிறுத்தியதை அவர்களுக்குக் கூறுவீர்கள். கர்த்தருடைய பரிசுத்த உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டி நதியைக் கடந்தபோது, தண்ணீர் அசையாமல் நின்றது. இந்நிகழ்ச்சியை என்றென்றைக்கும் இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் நினைவுகூருவதற்கு இக்கற்கள் உதவும்” என்றார்.
