Joshua 24:22
And Joshua said unto the people, All of you are witnesses against yourselves that all of you have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.

அப்பொழுது யோசுவா மக்களை நோக்கி: கர்த்தரைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளும்படி நீங்கள் அவரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டதற்கு நீங்களே உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சிகள் என்றான். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: நாங்களே சாட்சிகள் என்றார்கள்.

அப்போது யோசுவா, “உங்களையும், உங்களோடிருக்கிற ஜனங்களையும் சுற்றி நோக்குங்கள். நீங்கள் கர்த்தருக்கு சேவை செய்ய முடிவெடுத்திருக்கிறீர்கள் என்பதை அறிவீர்களா? இதற்கு நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் சாட்சிகளா?” என்றான். ஜனங்கள் பதிலாக, “ஆம், அது உண்மை! நாங்கள் கர்த்தருக்கு சேவை செய்ய முடிவெடுத்துள்ளோம் என்பதைக் காண்கிறோம்” என்றார்கள்.
