Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.

காடி நிறைந்த பாத்திரம் ஒன்று அங்கே வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. அங்கே நின்ற சேவகர்கள் கடற்பஞ்சைக் காடியிலே தோய்த்தார்கள். அதனை ஈசோப்புத் தண்டில் மாட்டினார்கள். பிறகு அதனை இயேசுவின் வாயருகே நீட்டினார்கள்.
