Jeremiah 9:19
For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast us out.

எவ்வளவாக அழிக்கப்பட்டோம்! மிகவும் கலங்கியிருக்கிறோம்; நாங்கள் தேசத்தை விட்டுப்போகிறோம், எங்கள் இருப்பிடங்களை அவர்கள் இடித்துப்போட்டார்கள் என்று சீயோனிலிருந்து ஏற்படுகிற புலம்பலின் சத்தம் கேட்கப்படும்.

“சீயோனிலிருந்து உரத்த அழுகையின் சத்தம் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது. ‘நாம் உண்மையிலேயே அழிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம். நாம் உண்மையிலேயே வெட்கப்படுகிறோம்! நாம் நமது நாட்டைவிட்டு விலக வேண்டும். ஏனென்றால், நமது வீடுகள் அழிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன. இப்பொழுது நமது வீடுகள் கற்குவியல்களாக இருக்கின்றன.’”
