Jeremiah 48:17
All you that are about him, lament for him; and all you that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, and the beautiful rod!

அதின் சுற்றுப்புறத்தாரும் அதின் புகழை அறிந்தவர்களுமாகிய நீங்கள் எல்லோரும் அதற்காக அங்கலாய்த்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; பெலனான தடியும் அலங்காரமான கோலும் எப்படி உடைந்ததென்று சொல்லுங்கள்.

மோவாபைச் சுற்றியுள்ள இடங்களில் வாழ்கின்ற ஜனங்களாகிய நீங்கள் அந்நாட்டிற்காக அழுவீர்கள். மோவாப் எவ்வளவு புகழுடையதாக இருக்கிறது என்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரியும். எனவே அதற்காக அழுங்கள். ‘ஆள்வோனின் வல்லமை உடைக்கப்பட்டது. மோவாபின் வல்லமையும் மகிமையும் போய்விட்டன’ என்று சோகப் பாட்டைப் பாடுங்கள்.
