Jeremiah 43:12
And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd puts on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace.

எகிப்தின் தெய்வங்களுடைய கோவில்களில் நெருப்பைக் கொளுத்துவேன்; அவன் அவைகளைச் சுட்டெரித்து, அவைகளைச் சிறைபிடித்துப்போய், ஒரு மேய்ப்பன் தன் கம்பளியைப் போர்த்துக் கொள்ளுவதுபோல எகிப்து தேசத்தைப் போர்த்துக்கொண்டு, அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து சுகமாகப் புறப்பட்டுப்போவான்.

நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் எகிப்திலுள்ள பொய்த் தெய்வங்களின் கோயிலில் நெருப்பை மூட்டுவான். அவன் அக்கோயில்களை எரிப்பான். அவன் அந்த விக்கிரகங்களை வெளியே எடுத்துப் போடுவான். ஒரு மேய்ப்பன் தனது ஆடையைச் சுத்தப்படுத்துவதற்கு அதில் உள்ள மூட்டைப்பூச்சிகளையும் ஓட்டுப்பூச்சிகளையும் எடுப்பான். அதே வழியில் நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் எகிப்தைச் சுத்தப்படுத்துவான். பிறகு அவன் பத்திரமாக எகிப்தை விடுவான்.
