Jeremiah 41:8
But ten men were found among them that said unto Ishmael, Slay us not: for we have treasures in the field, of wheat, and of barley, and of oil, and of honey. So he ceased, and slew them not among their brethren.

ஆனாலும் அவர்களில் பத்துப்பேர் மீந்திருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் இஸ்மவேலைப்பார்த்து: எங்களைக் கொலைசெய்யவேண்டாம்; கோதுமையும், வாற்கோதுமையும், எண்ணெயும், தேனுமுள்ள புதையல்கள் எங்களுக்கு நிலத்தின்கீழ் இருக்கிறது என்றார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவர்களை அவர்கள் சகோதரர்களைக் கொலைசெய்யாமல் விட்டுவைத்தான்.

ஆனால் அவர்களுள் 10 பேர் இஸ்மவேலிடம், “எங்களைக் கொல்லாதே. எங்களிடம் கோதுமையும் பார்லியும் உள்ளன. எங்களிடம் எண்ணெயும் தேனும் உள்ளன. நாங்கள் அவற்றை வயல்களில் மறைத்து வைத்துள்ளோம். அவற்றை உனக்குக் கொடுக்க விரும்புகிறோம்” என்றனர். எனவே இஸ்மவேல் அந்தப் பத்துப் பேரையும் தனியாக விட்டுவிட்டான். அவன் அவர்களை மற்றவர்களோடு கொல்லவில்லை.
