Jeremiah 38:7
Now when Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, one of the eunuchs which was in the king's house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon; the king then sitting in the gate of Benjamin;

ஆனால், எபெத்மெலேக் என்ற பெயருடையவன் எரேமியாவை தண்ணீர்க்குழியில் அடைத்ததைப்பற்றி கேள்விப்பட்டான். எபெத்மெலேக் எத்தியோப்பியாவிலிருந்து வந்தவன். அவன் அரசனின் வீட்டில் பிரதானியாக இருந்தான். சிதேக்கியா அரசன் பென்யமீன் வாசலில் இருந்தான். எனவே எபெத்மெலேக் அரசனின் வீட்டை விட்டுப் போய் வாசலில் உள்ள அரசனிடம் பேசப் போனான்.
