Jeremiah 38:17
Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, Thus says the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; If you will assuredly go forth unto the king of Babylon's princes, then your soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and you shall live, and yours house:

அப்பொழுது எரேமியா சிதேக்கியாவை நோக்கி: நீர் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின் பிரபுக்களிடம் புறப்பட்டுப்போனால், உம்முடைய ஆத்துமா உயிரோடிருக்கும்; இந்தப் பட்டணம் நெருப்பினால் சுட்டெரிக்கப்படுவதில்லை; நீரும் உம்முடைய குடும்பமும் உயிரோடிருப்பீர்கள்.

பிறகு எரேமியா சிதேக்கியா அரசனிடம், “இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர், கூறுகிறார், ‘நீ பாபிலோன் அரசனின் அதிகாரிகளிடம் சரணடைந்தால் உனது வாழ்க்கை காப்பாற்றப்படும். எருசலேம் எரிக்கப்படாமல் இருக்கும். நீயும் உனது குடும்பமும் காக்கப்படுவீர்கள்.
