Jeremiah 37:20
Therefore hear now, I pray you, O my lord the king: let my supplication, I pray you, be accepted before you; that you cause me not to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there.

இப்போதும் ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவனே, எனக்குக் காதுகொடுத்து, என் விண்ணப்பத்திற்குத் தயைசெய்து, என்னைக் காரியதரிசியாகிய யோனத்தானுடைய வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்ப அனுப்பவேண்டாம்; அனுப்பினால் நான் அங்கே செத்துப்போவேன் என்றான்.

ஆனால், இப்பொழுது யூதாவின் அரசனே நான் சொல்வதைக் கேள். என் விண்ணப்பத்தை தயவுசெய்து கேள். இதுதான் நான் கேட்பது. என்னைத் திரும்ப எழுத்தாளனான யோனாத்தானின் வீட்டிற்கு அனுப்பவேண்டாம். நீர் என்னை அங்கு அனுப்பினால் நான் அங்கே மரிப்பேன்” என்று சொன்னான்.
