Jeremiah 35:17
Therefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.

இதோ, நான் அவர்களிடத்தில் பேசியும் அவர்கள் கேளாமலும், நான் அவர்களை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டும் அவர்கள் மறுஉத்திரவு கொடுக்காமலும் போனதினாலும், யூதாவின்மேலும் எருசலேமின் குடிமக்கள் அனைவரின்மேலும் நான் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகச் சொன்ன எல்லாத் தீங்கையும் வரச்செய்வேன் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனும் சேனைகளின் தேவனுமாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.
