Jeremiah 34:22
Behold, I will command, says the LORD, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant.

இதோ, நான் கட்டளை கொடுத்து, அவர்களை இந்த நகரத்திற்குத் திரும்பச்செய்வேன்; அவர்கள் அதற்கு விரோதமாகப் போர் செய்து, அதைப்பிடித்து, அதை நெருப்பால் சுட்டெரிப்பார்கள்; யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களையும், ஒருவரும் அவைகளில் குடியிராமல் பாழாய்ப்போகச் செய்வேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்கிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

ஆனால், நான் பாபிலோன் படை எருசலேமிற்குத் திரும்பி வருமாறு ஆணையிடுவேன்’ என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். ‘அப்படை எருசலேமிற்கு எதிராகச் சண்டையிடும். அவர்கள் அதைப் பிடித்து நெருப்பிட்டு எரித்துப் போடுவார்கள். நான் யூதா தேசத்திலுள்ள நகரங்களை அழித்துப்போடுவேன். அந்நகரங்கள் வெறுமை வனாந்தரங்கள் ஆகும். ஜனங்கள் எவரும் வாழமாட்டார்கள்.’”
